The Latest iPhone GPS Applications

iPhone GPS applications are available. Hikers, geocachers, tourists and commuters are among the many people who are using the apps on a regular basis. Some, like commuters, may use the products daily.
There are many navigational apps to choose from. They vary in terms of price, ease of use and functionality.
Some of the programs offer turn-by-turn with voice. The application is similar to onboard vehicular navigation systems that make use of your vehicle's stereo system. Only this version makes use of the speakers in your phone.
The voice option makes following the navigator's direction safer. But it's still a good idea to choose ear-buds or another hands-free option when you are driving. You can get a mount for your dashboard to make holding the iPhone unnecessary.
How and when the graphics are displayed is another variable. The simplest programs prompt you to type in a keyword or a local search to bring up the map of the surrounding area.
You can choose 2D or 3D graphics with some apps. Others offer only 2D. It generally takes longer to load 3D graphics.
For people who drive for a living and others who need to keep track of business miles, there are GPS applications that do the math for you. The phones do not have the data storage capacity to keep track of a year's worth of business miles to use for tax purposes. But the system could be linked up to an online account to give you the data storage option.
Some apps allow you to add notes or enter the purpose of the trip, as well. For regular business travelers, it is really nice to have.
The simplest of all apps are the ones that simply publish your current location through your social network. This is the kind of app that shows a person's status as "just checked in at" some business or location on Facebook, for example. It's really just a social networking tool. It's easy to use and that's why it's popular with the kids.
The iPhone GPS applications are not just for traveling by road or foot. They can also be used by pilots to share a flight log book with the world. It's basically another social networking app. Pilots don't use it as a navigational tool. But tech-savvy pilots think it is cool.
You can even get custom designed GPS applications for your iPhone based completely on your business or personal needs. A good software designer could easily do the job.

Quick Guidelines To Develop Android Apps With Google App Inventor

Developing an iPhone app and getting it submitted to I Tunes can become much easier and faster if the developer works as per certain pre-approved guidelines.
The market of iPhone apps is one among the biggest and most rated e-market with millions of users. Programmers are churning their brains real hard to come up with unique iPhone apps. Business firms are using these apps has one of the most handy and convenient way to reach out their targeted customers. Through a custom developed iPhone app they can better project their services and products, and also make these more easily accessible to their customers. Taking the cue, business firms are paying in bulk to the programmers to whom they outsource app development. If you are one among such business owner or anyone who needs to get an iPhone app developed for yourself or your client, and this article can be of great help.

Android Phones
If you have a unique idea for a mobile app and you know the basic of programming languages, you can yourself develop an app with some basic arrangement and by sending $ 99 (USD). This article doesn't concentrate over programming part, but it covers all other requisite points that you will require for app generation; probably you can hire a programmer for the programming part.
Level One: To start with, first you will need a unique idea for the app; the idea should be new or up gradation of an already existing idea, otherwise no one would be interested at using app or paying for it.
Level Two: As I-phone is a product of apple, so currently the I-app development tools are only available for Mac users. Moreover, even to upload your finished app into I-tunes, you need to have a Mac. So, in any case you need to have a Mac.
Level Three: Now, you have to get yourself registered as an official Apple Developer. Registration is free, simple, and it is to be done once only. Later, the same password and user name can be used for your iTunes account.
Level Four: After being an official developer, you need to download the Software Development Kit (SDK ) for iPhone ; the downloaded version should be compatible with your operating system. The downloading will take time as it's a huge download that include all the requisite documents, codes, video tutorial etc.
Level Five: Next, you need to download XCode. The use of this download can be best understood in the explanation given by Apple, which reads "Xcode is a complete, full-featured IDE built around a smooth workflow that integrates the editing of source code, with the build and compile steps, through to a graphical debugging experience - all without leaving the view of your source code."
Level Six: After doing the necessary downloads, you can start with the designing of the app using the templates provided in the SDK.
Level Seven: To develop the app, you need to know objective C programming languages. If you have the basic knowledge, you can buy any relevant book and move forward. Otherwise for this sticky part, you need to hire a programmer.
Level Eight: By now, your app will get ready, and you need to test it yourself. For the purpose, you will get an iPhone Simulator in the SDK itself. While doing you testing, try out as many bugs as possible, which you believe the prospective app users can think off.
Level Nine: After self testing, you can load you app into iTunes at the cost fee of $99 (USD).
Level Nine: Once uploaded, you can invite the others in the app community to test your app with all the possible bugs and to give you the feedbacks. Based on which, you will be able to make necessary changes.
Level Ten: After getting the app tested by the app community member, you are ready to submit your app to I tunes for approval. Uploading into I-tunes can be done from the community itself; approval may take some time.
Level Eleven: After approval, your app gets listed in the market of I tunes. If it's a paid app, check out how the money to roll in to shore; and if it's free, check out the traffic to measure the success and acceptance of your app.
Conclusion: However, your job doesn't finish with just uploading the app, as you need to take care of its publicity as well. Use the platform of Facebook and twitter to rightly promote your newly built app.

4 Approaches To Solve IPhone Freezing Troubles

4 Approaches To Solve IPhone Freezing Troubles

Author: melissa

A few of the ways to fix iPhone freezing issues are the following: restarting your iPhone, resetting your iPhone, restoring factory configurations, and carrying your iPhone to an Apple service center.

iPhones are generally the newest trend among techie men and women these past few years. They are great units, and expensive, but they're also vulnerable to freezing issues. Whenever this happens, there are many suggestions on the way to solve the problem yourself. Check out this article for some approaches to solve frozen iPhone issues.

Restart your iPhone

One of the most effective and most basic iphone help stategies to rescue the gadget from its frozen state is to restart it. Simply locate the "sleep" switch, which could be found on the top area of the unit, and then press and hold it. After a couple of seconds of holding the button, you will notice a slider on screen which says "slide to power off." All you have to do is slide your finger on this slider, and the mobile phone should shut off. Wait for approximately 5 seconds and then press the "sleep" button again for some seconds until the apple logo design shows up on the display. Your unit must be able to restart or turn on again after pressing and holding the "sleep" option.

Reset your own iPhone

After trying to restart your iPhone and discovering that this has not awakened your gadget from its frozen state, you may then opt to reset it. In order to reset the unit, press and hold the "sleep" key together with the "home" key. This must cause the apple logo to show up on the screen and reset the gadget in some seconds.

Restore factory setting

You can even have the iPhone restored to its original manufacturer setting to fix freezing troubles. However, this method will remove all information you have made on the device, including songs, photos, programs, sms messages, and also contact lists. You could make a back-up file of this details so you can still recover it afterwards. Just pay a visit to the iTunes site, connect your iPhone to your computer, and then choose "Summary" tab from the Devices list. Then you will see the tab "Restore," which you must also click on. Before you could continue with having your unit restored to manufacturer configurations, you will be asked if you need to have your files and also settings backed-up. After you have performed this, you will again be asked to confirm regarding having your factory settings restored. Just click on the "restore" switch once again and leave your unit attached to the computer until the whole procedure is done and you no longer view the key phrase "Connect to iTunes" on the screen of your gadget.

Take your iPhone to an Apple service center

If your efforts to solve the freezing problem on your iPhone have been failed, you'll need to take it to an Apple service facility and have their specialists try to fix the trouble. Before you take it to the service center, though, you must disable your service first. If your device is a CDMA model, sign in to the site of your mobile phone company and stick to their directions for disabling the service to your iPhone. For those which are GSM models, all that you should do is take the SIM card out of the unit. You may also refer to the specific instructions on removing SIM cards in the instruction manual which came with the device.

It is essential that you read the instruction and warranty manual of the iPhone on troubleshooting so as not to void any current warranty. Knowledge of your device's warranty is very important.

Hardware and Software Requirements for Customized iPhone Application Development

Hardware and Software Requirements for Customized iPhone Application Development

Author: Arun Kumar

It would be unfair to compare iPhone with other smart phones because of its wide array of additional features and functionalities. With the growing popularity of the Apple iPhone, its applications are also getting popular every day. The iPhone mobile application development scenario has witnessed a huge surge of application developers, courtesy of a multi-purpose SDK and more opportunities to create innovative apps.

The biggest advantage of the iPhone over other mobile platforms is its single user interface. Application development for other platforms would require huge investments for device porting, let alone building the whole application. Such is not the case with the iPhone. However, if you are planning to develop your own customized iPhone application, you would require essential hardware along with the SDK. Here are some important hardware and software requirements for the iPhone open application development platform:

A Mac Computer:

This is the most important hardware that any iPhone application developer should acquire. iPhone applications development can only be possible using an Apple X operating system in an Intel-based Mac machine. Opt for a new dual-core Mac to get some amazing speeds. The Interface builder and Xcode run smoothly on such machines. Also, make sure your PC boasts at least 2GB RAM to make the development process speedier.

Cocoa Frameworks:

Cocoa is a collection of frameworks that provide a perfect environment for developing iPhone applications. Primarily written in Objective-C, Cocoa frameworks let you add excellent features to your application. The frameworks are accessible to Objective-c programs. Cocoa contains frameworks such as Foundation and Application Kit, which includes controls such as menus, text fields, windows and buttons.

 iPhone Simulator:

It comes bundled with the iPhone SDK and is a very useful simulation environment to test your applications. However, you will have to test applications on the iPhone if you are testing its GPS functionality.

Top 10 best Information Technology certifications in the industry

Top 10 best Information Technology certifications in the industry

Author: Richel Fox

IT certifications boast numerous benefits. They bolster resumes, encourage higher salaries, and assist in job retention. But which IT certifications are best?

Technology professionals generate much debate over just that question. Many claim vendor-specific programs best measure a candidate's skills, while others propose vendor-independent exams are the only worthy way of measuring real-world expertise. Still other observers believe the highest-level accreditations-Microsoft's MCSE or new Architect Series certification, Cisco's CCIE, etc.-are the only credentials that truly hold value.

The best IT certification for you, after all, is likely to be different from that for another technology professional with different education, skills, and goals working at a different company in a different industry. For that reason, when pursuing any professional accreditation, you should give much thought and care to your education, experience, skills, goals, and desired career path.

Once a career road map is in place, selecting a potential certification path becomes much easier. And that's where this list of the industry's 10 best IT certifications comes into play. While this list may not include the 10 best accreditations for you, it does catalog 10 IT certifications that possess significant value for a wide range of technology professionals.

1. MCITP The new-generation Microsoft Certified IT Professional credential, or MCITP for short, is likely to become the next big Microsoft certification. Available for a variety of fields of expertise-including database developer, database administrator, enterprise messaging administrator, and server administrator-an MCITP validates a professional's proven job-role capabilities. Candidates must pass several Microsoft exams that track directly to their job role before earning the new designation.

As with Microsoft's other new-generation accreditations, the MCITP certification will retire when Microsoft suspends mainstream support for the platforms targeted within the MCITP exams. By matching the new certification to popular job roles, as has been done to some extent with CompTIA's Server+ (server administrator) , Project+ (project manager), and A+ (desktop support) certifications, Microsoft has created a new certification that's certain to prove timely, relevant, and valuable

2. MCTS The new-generation Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) helps IT staff validate skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a specific Microsoft technology. The MCTS certifications are designed to communicate the skills and expertise a holder possesses on a specific platform.

For example, candidates won't earn an MCTS on SQL Server 2008. Instead, they'll earn an MCTS covering SQL Server business intelligence (MCTS: SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence) , database creation (MCTS: SQL Server 2008, Database Development), or SQL server administration (MCTS: SQL Server 2008, Implementation and Maintenance).

These new certifications require passing multiple, tightly targeted exams that focus on specific responsibilities on specific platforms. MCTS designations will expire when Microsoft suspends mainstream support for the corresponding platform. These changes, as with other new-generation Microsoft certifications, add value to the accreditation.

3. Security+ Security continues to be a critical topic. That's not going to change. In fact, its importance is only going to grow. One of the quickest ways to lose shareholder value, client confidence, and sales is to suffer a data breach. And no self-respecting technology professional wants to be responsible for such a breach.

CompTIA's Security+ accreditation provides a respected, vendor-neutral foundation for industry staff (with at least two years of experience) seeking to demonstrate proficiency with security fundamentals. While the Security+ accreditation consists of just a single exam, it could be argued that any IT employee charged with managing client data or other sensitive information should, at a minimum, possess this accreditation. The importance of ensuring staff are properly educated as to systems security, network infrastructure, access control, auditing, and organizational security principles is simply too important to take for granted.

4. MCPD There's more to information technology than just administration, support, and networking. Someone must create and maintain the applications and programs that power organizations. That's where the new-generation Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) credential comes into play.

The MCPD accreditation measures a developer's ability to build and maintain software solutions using Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. Split into three certification paths (Windows Developer 3.5, ASP.NET Developer 3.5, and Enterprise Applications Developer 3.5), the credential targets IT professionals tasked with designing, optimizing, and operating those Microsoft technologies to fulfill business needs.

A redesigned certification aimed at better-measuring real-world skills and expertise, the MCPD will prove important for developers and programmers. Besides requiring candidates to pass several exams, the MCPD certification will retire when Microsoft suspends mainstream support for the corresponding platform. The change is designed to ensure the MCPD certification remains relevant, which is certain to further increase its value.

The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) accreditation captures most of

the networking company's certification glory. But the Cisco Certified Network

Associate (CCNA) might prove more realistic within many organizations.

In a world in which Microsoft and Linux administrators are also often expected

to be networking experts, many companies don't have the budgets necessary to

train (or employ) a CCIE. But even small and midsize corporations can benefit

from having their technology professionals earn basic proficiency administering

Cisco equipment, as demonstrated by earning a CCNA accreditation.

As smaller companies become increasingly dependent upon remote access

technologies, basic Cisco systems skills are bound to become more important.

Although many smaller organizations will never have the complexity or workload

necessary to keep a CCIE busy, Cisco's CCNA is a strong accreditation for

technology professionals with a few years' experience seeking to grow and

improve their networking skills.

6. CompTIA A+

Technology professionals with solid hardware and support skills are becoming

tougher to find. There's not much glory in digging elbow-deep into a desktop box

or troubleshooting Windows boot errors. But those skills are essential to

keeping companies running.

Adding CompTIA's A+ certification to a resume tells hiring managers and

department heads that you have proven support expertise. Whether an organization

requires desktop installation, problem diagnosis, preventive maintenance, or

computer or network error troubleshooting, many organizations have found

A+-certified technicians to be more productive than their noncertified

Changes to the A+ certification, which requires passing multiple exams, are

aimed at keeping the popular credential relevant. Basic prerequisite

requirements are now followed by testing that covers specific fields of

expertise (such as IT, remote support, or depot technician). The accreditation

is aimed at those working in desktop support, on help desks, and in the field,

and while many of these staffers are new to the industry, the importance of an

A+ certification should not be overlooked.

7. PMP

Some accreditations gain value by targeting specific skills and expertise. The

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a great example.

The Project Management Institute (PMI), a nonprofit organization that serves as

a leading membership association for project management practitioners, maintains

the PMP exam. The certification measures a candidate's project management

expertise by validating skills and knowledge required to plan, execute, budget,

and lead a technology project. Eligible candidates must have five years of

project management experience or three years of project management experience

and 35 hours of related education.

As organizations battle tough economic conditions, having proven project

scheduling, budgeting, and management skills will only grow in importance. The

PMI's PMP credential is a perfect conduit for demonstrating that expertise on a

8. MCSE /

Even years after their introduction, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)

and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) credentials remain

valuable. But it's important to avoid interpreting these accreditations as

meaning the holders are all-knowing gurus, as that's usually untrue.

In my mind, the MCSE and MCSA hold value because they demonstrate the holder's

capacity to complete a long and comprehensive education, training, and

certification program requiring intensive study. Further, these certifications

validate a wide range of relevant expertise (from client and server

administration to security issues) on specific, widely used platforms.

Also important is the fact that these certifications tend to indicate holders

have been working within the technology field for a long time. There's no

substitute for actual hands-on experience. Many MCSEs and MCSAs hold their

certifications on Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 platforms, meaning they've

been working within the industry for many years. While these certifications will

be replaced by Microsoft's new-generation credentials, they remain an important

measure of foundational skills on Windows platforms.

As mentioned with the Security+ accreditation earlier, security is only going to

grow in importance. Whatever an organization's mission, product, or service,

security is paramount.

(ISC)², which administers the Certified Information Systems Security

Professional (CISSP) accreditation, has built a respected, vendor-neutral

security certification. Designed for industry pros with at least five years of

full-time experience, and accredited by the American National Standards

Institute (ANSI), the CISSP is internationally recognized for validating

candidates' expertise with operations and network and physical security, as well

as their ability to manage risk and understand legal compliance responsibilities

and other security-related elements.

10. Linux+ While pursuing my first Microsoft certification 10 years ago, I remember debating the importance of Linux with several telecommunications technicians. They mocked the investment I was making in learning Microsoft technologies. These techs were confident Linux was going to displace Windows.

Well, didn't happen. Linux continues to make inroads, though. The open source alternative is an important platform. Those professionals who have Linux expertise and want to formalize that skill set will do well adding CompTIA's Linux+ certification to their resumes.

The vendor-neutral exam, which validates basic Linux client and server skills, is designed for professionals with at least six to 12 months of hands-on Linux experience. In addition to being vendor-neutral, the exam is also distribution neutral (meaning the skills it covers work well whether a candidate is administering Red Hat, SUSE, or Ubuntu systems).

Technology professionals almost always have strong reactions when debating certification's value. Listing the top 10 certifications leaves room, of course, for only 10 credentials. That means many favorite and popular designations, such as HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) certifications, have been necessarily omitted. Other important accreditations, including those for VoIP providers and from PC manufacturers, Red Hat, and even Apple, have also been left out here.

How to perform a complete PC Diagnostics

How to perform a complete PC Diagnostics

Author: albert soft

PC issues are well known to all PC users today. There are several types of questions or problems we face every day with our computers. Whenever there is a problem in a PC, in general, tend to make a diagnosis of PC and sometimes we find the solution and sometimes not. However, a correct diagnosis of PC is needed to solve a problem or question completely. Also note that this is the root cause behind any particular issue which has been found in a PC. Without knowing how or the real culprit behind a problem that can not get fixed any problem at its root and can be repeated in the near future at any time. For this reason, we must also make a complete diagnosis of PC so that we can get to know the field well behind.

I used to think when you find an error or problem, such as slow performance suddenly, freezing, blue screen or any matter relating to the driver, or something we can say affect performance Comprehensive PC. In all these cases I propose to make a full PC diagnostics. And to perform a complete PC diagnostic, you should check the bug report about the error or problem. A fault can be found easily and it also stores the file in error reporting in Windows Event Viewer. An observer of events is where all the errors relating to the application failure, systemic failures and other entities related incident reports are stored. This is the best place to start a good PC diagnostics.

Select the Event Viewer, you can not simply watch or application errors, but there are several reports of accidents in the presence and are very organized. No specific event or incident, which was unable to play in this event, is logged in the viewer. You can find a lot of tabs, such as the type of event, date, time, source, category, event, user and computer. These details can get an idea of ??where the particular case can not, or what was the real reason behind a particular problem. When you double-click the error, or if it gives you a detailed description of the possible causes and possible resolution as well. This is why I always start the Event Viewer, if you ever find anything on their PC or work PC in badl.

Now when you go through the newspaper and get an idea, or maybe you will solve the problem by yourself you have now learned to know the real reason behind the problem. If you have not found the possible solution, but now you can start looking for appropriate and may make a correct and complete PC diagnostics. I also suggest using Windows' own tools and utilities before running a third-party program to get the real questions. There are many good tools and commands in all recent versions of Windows operating systems that are very helpful and really they can not only repair the files and errors, but can also get all problems solved. Use them always, before trying something else.
